He spoke about it in a recent interview with Fox News Digital. “Years ago, when I went on this path to be more vocal and outspoken, I knew that stuff was going to go away.”
He also said he rarely gets asked to be part of major events like the NFL anymore. “There’s been things like that, but that’s no sweat off my back.”
“I put my country before pretty much everything except my family and God,” he said.
