Diddy Rushed Out of Federal Prison in the Middle of the Night — Details

Sean "Diddy" Combs was taken out of a New Jersey federal prison in an ambulance around 1 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The music mogul returned before sunrise, but questions remained about what prompted the overnight trip. Details about where he was taken were also unconfirmed.

According to an October 12 report by TMZ, sources at the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix said Combs left the facility to receive medical attention.

The ambulance's destination was not confirmed. A nearby hospital was considered a possibility, but the publication could not verify where he was taken. Sources said Combs was conscious and speaking when he returned to the prison.

Diddy's Overnight Trip Follows Reports of Prison Controversies

Before the ambulance trip, Combs had reportedly been placed in a special housing unit amid allegations that he received preferential treatment while incarcerated.

The claims involved massages, alcohol, and access to a cellphone containing nude photographs. The report did not establish whether those allegations were substantiated.

Combs was also reportedly involved in a fight with another inmate in July. However, no connection between that confrontation and Saturday's medical incident was established.

What Prompted Diddy's Late-Night Ambulance Trip?

Sources at Fort Dix said Combs was transported for treatment of a head injury. How he sustained the injury remains unknown. The report did not describe what happened before he was taken from the facility.
It also did not identify where he received treatment, leaving some details of the overnight incident unconfirmed.
Beyond the overnight medical incident, Sean "Diddy" Combs has also seen a change to his expected release date. His projected release date shifted from January 2028 to March 2028, extending his anticipated time behind bars by approximately two months.
