Fans gathered around their TVs last Wednesday as country music paid tribute to her from Belmont University’s Fisher Center in Nashville. From Reba McEntire to Carrie Underwood, Ella Langley, Zac Brown, and Brad Paisley, the stars poured their hearts into the evening.
Plenty of us at home were singing right along through the tears. Dolly touched more lives than we can count, and the ratings proved it.
She spent a lifetime singing to us. Last week, we finally got to sing back to her, and we’ll keep doing it as long as we’ve got breath.
